OR and EVme have signed an MOU to study and develop EV after-sales service business models, upgrading FIT Auto toward a one-stop service network for vehicles across all powertrains in Thailand.

PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited, or OR, and EVme Plus Company Limited, or EVme, have signed a memorandum of understanding covering business development to promote the use and servicing of electric vehicles in Thailand.

The partners aim to study and develop smarter business models that can support the growth of the Thai EV market. The plan also raises the role of after-sales service, positioning FIT Auto as a one-stop service destination for vehicles across internal-combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains.

The MOU was signed by Racha Uthaichan, Senior Executive Vice President of Lubricants Business at OR, and Ekachai Yimsakul, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of EVme Plus Company Limited.

The agreement is an important strategic move to strengthen the EV ecosystem within the PTT group with a more complete and practical after-sales structure.

Service scope and standards

The collaboration focuses on business feasibility studies that can improve the stability and confidence of EV usage, especially scheduled inspection and maintenance operations. EVme will pilot EV fleet vehicles at FIT Auto service centers to test operating processes and build the foundation for future service readiness.

At the same time, the partnership will help develop FIT Auto technician capability for EV maintenance to international standards, covering high-voltage inspection, scheduled maintenance and real-world troubleshooting procedures.

Building on AION ES 2026 taxi fleet service

The project builds on FIT Auto being trusted as the official scheduled-maintenance service center for EVme AION ES 2026 electric taxis.

The pilot service currently covers six prototype branches: Vibhavadi 62, Vibhavadi (Ror 1), Luang Phaeng-Lat Krabang, Keha Rom Klao, Phahon Yothin Km.25 and Jomtien Intersection.

Beyond maintenance, the MOU also covers joint marketing activities and the development of database connections across digital platforms and applications. The goal is to link benefits and customer relationship management between the two organizations more smoothly.

Bangkok Motorhaus Perspective

The move by OR and EVme is well timed. One of the key concerns for EV ownership is the availability of trusted independent maintenance and parts support outside brand-owned service centers. Bringing FIT Auto into the backend of this ecosystem directly addresses consumer confidence.

Starting with the AION ES 2026 taxi fleet is especially valuable because taxis face heavy daily use and high mileage. FIT Auto technicians will gain exposure to real service cases, real operating problems and warranty-standard procedures, which could become a major advantage over general EV repair shops.

The next challenge is scaling capability across more EV brands in the Thai market. FIT Auto will also need a fast parts strategy for EV-specific components such as battery modules, inverters and battery management systems if it wants to compete with official brand service centers.

If the shared digital platform and CRM system can connect discounts, service pricing and cross-brand benefits in a compelling way, out-of-warranty EV owners may increasingly consider quick-lane service networks. That could reshape Thailand after-sales market over the next several years.
