Toyota Motor Thailand, led by President Noriaki Yamashita, together with the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand and senior Toyota executives, officially announced the TOYOTA GAZOO RACING THAILAND 2026 season.
The season runs under the MAKING EVER-BETTER MOTORSPORTS-BRED CARS concept and marks the 40th anniversary of Toyota motorsport in Thailand, reinforcing Toyota effort to develop better road cars through real racing while promoting multiple energy pathways toward carbon neutrality.

Technology from race track to real roads
For 2026, Toyota continues to test vehicle performance under real race conditions with Thai engineers from Toyota Motor Asia (Thailand), using racing data to improve durability and transfer lessons from circuit to road-going vehicles.
The One Make Race cars support alternative fuels including E20 gasohol and B20 biodiesel, while Toyota will also run Carbon Neutral Fuel race cars to demonstrate technology aligned with sustainability goals.

Bangkok Motorhaus Perspective
Reaching 40 years of Toyota motorsport in Thailand is not just a celebration. It is a deep brand strategy that reinforces leadership in an area competitors cannot easily copy: proving product reliability through real racing.
While many brands compete through horsepower figures and price cuts, Toyota is playing a game built on long experience. Putting E20, B20, Carbon Neutral Fuel and hybrid systems into real competition sends a clear engineering message that Toyota vehicles can work with multiple energy paths while maintaining durability and performance.
The Yaris ATIV HEV GR SPORT Challenge Cup is especially interesting because it reframes hybrid cars from purely economical vehicles into something sporty and fun. Bringing influencers and automotive media into the cockpit can create strong digital engagement and help shift public perception of hybrid technology.
The special allocation of GR Yaris and GR Corolla through six GR Garage locations is also well timed. Motorsport events create emotional buying moments, and having cars ready for delivery can convert that enthusiasm into real sales.
Spreading the event across five rounds in four provinces shows Toyota views motorsport not only as a brand activity, but also as a platform that stimulates regional tourism and local economies. The 40th anniversary season is therefore a technology test bed, a driver-development space and a powerful marketing platform for Thailand in 2026.
