Toyota Motor Thailand’s biodiversity and sustainability learning center “Cheewapanavet” at the Ban Pho plant in Chachoengsao has been certified as one of Thailand’s first five Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs).
The certificate was presented on 22 May 2026 during Thailand’s International Day for Biological Diversity activities. The first five pilot OECMs include Cheewapanavet, PTT’s Wang Chan Forest Learning Center, PTT’s Metro Forest Learning Center, Khlong Khanom Chin in Ayutthaya, and Singha Park Chiang Rai.
Cheewapanavet and Toyota’s Sustainability Work
Cheewapanavet covers more than 63 rai and was developed through collaboration among Toyota employees, suppliers, dealers and nearby communities. The site now supports more than 134 plant species and 553 animal and living species, while welcoming more than 70,000 accumulated visitors for learning activities.

This recognition shows that automotive manufacturing and long-term environmental stewardship can move together. Cheewapanavet is not only a CSR activity, but a working ecosystem and learning center that supports Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, biodiversity, SDGs and a broader positive role for the automotive industry.
